    WHAT IS VOLANTIS TABLETS?

    Volantis 10mg tablet manufactured by Dr. Reddy’s is a generic version of the drug Everolimus Tablets. It comes in pack of 10 tablets. Volantis Tablets(Everolimus) is a prescription oncology medicine that can be purchased by a patient only against a valid prescription of a healthcare professional. 

    USES OF VOLANTIS TABLETS:

    Everolimus Is used For the treatment of advanced renal cell cancer, after sunitinib and sorafenib treatment failure. Advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, treatment of advanced hormone receptor positive, HER2-negative breast cancer in post menopausal women, after letrozole or anastrozole treatment failure. 

    Treatment of adult patients with certain types of neuroendocrine tumors (NET) of gastrointestinal (GI) or lung origin with unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic disease.

    POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

    EVEROLIMUS can cause a blood clot in the blood vessels of your transplanted organ, especially within 30 days after transplant. Tell your doctor right away if you have: shortness of breath, fever with nausea or vomiting, blood in your urine, dark colored urine, little or no urinating, jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes), or pain in your stomach, groin, lower back, or side.

    COMMON SIDE EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE:

    Some side effects are temporary and disappear with time, whereas others can be more severe results in major complications. Volantis 10MG Tablet results in some minor side effects which include appetite loss, headache, problems with sleep, diarrhea and a tingling sensation in the hands and the feet. A few major side effects include kidney problems, irregular heartbeat, dizziness and severe pain in the stomach. There is also a rare chance that a patient may develop a brain infection, which can result in severe complications.

    DRUGS PRECAUTIONS:

    Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Volantis 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

    Volantis 10mg Tablet suppresses the activity of the body’s immune system and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.

    DRUGS INTERACTIONS:

    Do not start everolimus and consult your doctor if you have liver problems, diabetes, high blood cholesterol, had a recent surgery or have unhealed wound after surgery, have an infection, previously had hepatitis, are pregnant or breast-feeding or have intolerance to some sugars.

    Seek medical advice if you have increased thirst or increased frequency of urination, if you get any infection, suffer from shortness of breath, cough or fever, need to receive any vaccination after taking everolimus.

    Everolimus may affect male or female fertility; consult your doctor if you are planning to have a child.

    Do not drive or operate machinery while taking everolimus as it may cause fatigue.

    ABOUT VONADAY

    Lamivudine belongs to a class of medication called nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It decreases the amount of virus (HIV and hepatitis) in the blood. It also increases the number of infection fighting cells in the body (CD4 cells. Tenofovir is an antiviral drug belonging to class nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Efavirenz belongs to a class of antiretroviral medications called non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). It inhibits the replication of HIV, thereby reducing the amount of the virus in the blood.

    MEDICINE USES :

    Lamivudine indicated as part of antiretroviral combination therapy for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infected. Tenofovir is used in combination with other antiviral drugs in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections. Efavirenz is used in combination with other medications for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.

    LAMIVUDINE/TENOFOVIR/EFAVIRENZ COMMON SIDE EFFECTS :

    dizziness, drowsiness, tired feeling; nausea, diarrhea; headache, depressed mood, trouble concentrating; sleep problems (insomnia), strange dreams; rash; or changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your arms, legs, face, neck, breasts, and waist).

        unusual thoughts or behavior, anger, severe depression, thoughts of hurting yourself or others, hallucinations; a seizure (convulsions);
        kidney problems–increased thirst and urination, muscle pain or weakness; liver problems–nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tiredness, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
        severe skin reaction–fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling.
        signs of a new infection–fever, night sweats, swollen glands, mouth sores, cold sores, sores on your genital or anal area, diarrhea, stomach pain, weight loss;
        chest pain (especially when you breathe), dry cough, wheezing, feeling short of breath; rapid heart rate, feeling anxious or irritable, weakness or prickly feeling, problems with balance or eye movement;
        trouble speaking or swallowing, severe lower back pain, loss of bladder or bowel control; or swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid), menstrual changes, impotence, loss of interest in sex.

     VONADAY LAMIVUDINE/TENOFOVIR/EFAVIRENZ TABLETS PRECAUTIONS :

    Before using this drug, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.

        Avoid pregnancy
        Discontinue use if rapid increase in aminotransferase levels, progressive hepatomegaly, or metabolic or lactic acidosis of unknown origin
        Do not take tenofovir with other drugs that can potentially damage kidneys
        Do physical examination of fat redistribution
        Have diabetes and renal impairment
        Monitor blood levels of lipids and sugar in elderly

    EFAVIRENZ/EMTRICITABINE/TENOFOVIR DISOPROXIL FUMARATE

    Efavirenz/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate is a combination antiviral medication that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from reproducing in your body. It belongs to class of medication called antiretroviral medicines. It works by inhibiting the enzyme needed for DNA synthesis (nucleoside reverse transcriptase) thereby lowering the growth and decrease the amount of HIV in body.

    MEDICINAL USES :

    Efavirenz/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate is used to treat HIV, the virus that can cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is not a cure for HIV or AIDS. Efavirenz/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate is for use in adults and children who are at least 12 years old.

    POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS :

    Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

    Early symptoms of lactic acidosis may get worse over time and this condition can be fatal. Get emergency medical help if you have even mild symptoms: muscle pain or weakness, numb or cold feeling in your arms and legs, trouble breathing, stomach pain, nausea with vomiting, fast or uneven heart rate, dizziness, or feeling very weak or tired.

     ABOUT X-VIR Tablets

    X-VIR is an antiviral that belongs to a class of drugs known
    as hepatitis B virus nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors.

    Entecavir is an antiviral medication.
    Entecavir prevents certain virus cells from multiplying in your body. It
    works by blocking the DNA synthesis in hepatitis B virus, a process essential
    for the virus to grow and multiply. Entecavir thus stops the virus from
    spreading in the body. It does not prevent spread of HBV infections to other
    people.


    MEDICINALUSES

    X-VIR is used to treat long-term hepatitis B infection.
    Hepatitis B is an infection of the liver caused by the hepatitis B virus.
    Long-term infection can cause liver damage, rarely liver cancer, and liver
    failure. Entecavir helps to decrease the amount of hepatitis B virus in your
    body.

    Entecavir
    is used to treat long-term infection of the liver (hepatitis) caused by
    hepatitis B virus (HBV). It is also used to prevent HBV reinfection after liver
    transplant and to treat HIV patients infected with HBV. Entecavir can be used
    in individuals with damaged liver that still functions properly (compensated
    liver disease) and in individuals with damaged liver that does not function
    properly (decompensate liver disease).


    X-VIR Tablets Side Effects:

    Side Effects Of Entecavir
    Include Weakness, Dizziness, Tiredness, Headache, Fatigue, Nausea, Vomiting,
    Irregular Heart Beat, Light Headedness, Stomachache, Muscle Pain, Cold Legs,

    Raised liver enzymes. Blood or sugar in the

    stools (diarrhea). Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting
    or lying down. Be careful climbing.

    X Vir 1mg Tablet prevents

    Entecavir
    should be taken on an empty stomach. Please follow the instructions of your
    doctor.

    Do
    consult your doctor before taking entecavir, if you are pregnant or planning to
    become pregnant. Do consult your doctor before taking entecavir, if you are
    breast-feeding.

    Do
    not drive or operate machines if you feed dizzy, tired or sleepy after taking
    entecavir.

    Do
    consult your doctor before taking entecavir if you have Kidney disease, any
    other liver disease or a liver transplant.


    X-VIR Tablets INTERACTIONS: 

    Do not use X VIR 1 mg Tablet for any
    conditions other than those specified by the doctor. Do not share the medicine
    with anyone else. Report to the doctor all your medical conditions and current
    medicines before taking this medication. Report any undesired effects or lack
    of improvement to the doctor on priority.

    Consult
    your doctor before taking entecavir, if you have AIDS or HIV (human
    immunodeficiency virus) infection. Tests for HIV should be performed before
    taking entecavir in suspected individuals.

    Inform
    your doctor, if you have taken medicines containing active drug lamivudine
    (Epivir, Epzicom, and Trizivir) or telbivudine. Inform your doctor about all
    medications you have received in the past for treatment of hepatitis B.

    Worsening
    of hepatitis B may occur while taking entecavir and upon discontinuation. Liver
    function tests must be conducted while on treatment and upon discontinuation.

    Immediately
    report symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and stomach pain to your doctor. These
    might indicate development of a life-threatening side effect of entecavir
    called lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid in blood). Lactic acidosis occurs
    more often in women, particularly if they are very overweight.
